Chipmunk
A chipmunk was smooshed in our driveway and the kids saw it. I asked them to stay away from it. Later that morning we went to the grocery store. On the way there:
Chloe: "Mommy, do Chipmunks have eyes?"
Me: "Yes they do."
Chloe: "I didn't see any eyes on that chipmunk"
Me: "That chipmunk got squished"
Chloe: "Could he breathe when he was squished?"
Me: "No he couldn't"
Chloe: "Did it hurt?"
Me: "yes, I'm sure it hurt a lot."


Daddy's travel
Liam "Daddy"
Me: "Daddy is away for work"
Liam: "Daddy, airplane."
Me: "Yes, Daddy took an airplane to work."
Liam: "oh"
Liam: "Bye-Bye"


Marker on the carpet
Me: "Chloe, did you draw with pink marker on the carpet."
Chloe: "Yes I did"
Me: "Why did you do that?"
Chloe: "The marker was dried out and so when I used it on the carpet it wasn't dried out."
Me: "Umm, we don't draw on the carpet with marker"
